Historic win for Nepal, Nepal defeats UAE by 7 wickets in ACC Premier Cup final



Kathmandu, May 2: Nepal has set a record after winning the ACC Men’s Premier Cup today. Nepal defeated UAE by seven wickets in 30.3 overs in the final match played at TU Cricket ground, Kirtipur.

Nepal managed to chase 118 runs target posted by UAE losing three wickets.

Nepali batsman Gulshan Jha and Bhim Sharki played a match winning partnership. Gulshan scored a magnificent knock of 67 runs. He hit 6 sixes and 3 fours. While Bhim Sharki scored 36 runs. He also hit 4 fours.

Nepal had to struggle a bit after losing 3 wickets in the quick succession. Nepali openers Kushal Bhurtel (1) and Aashif Sheikh (8) were lbw out. Even captain Rohit Paudel was out on 1.

However, Nepali batsmen Gulshan and Bhim played against UAE bowlers without feeling any pressure.

UAE bowler Rohan Mustafa took 2 wickets and Aryan Khan took 1 wicket.

After winning the Cup, Nepal will be qualified for the ACC Men’s Premier Cup which will be co-hosting by India and Pakistan.
