Homestay at Lalikharka



Miklajung, Sept 28 : A community homestay was begun here on the occasion of the International Tourism Day on Friday.

The homestay begun at Lalikharka of Phidim municipality-3 in Panchthar district was inaugurated by lawmaker Sita Thebe. It has been set up in view of the Visit Nepal 2020.

On the occasion, lawmaker Thebe informed that the religious, historic and other touristic places in the district would be identified and made publicity for the coming Visit Year.

“All people in the district must be united to make the Visit Year 2020 successful by promoting both the domestic and foreign tourism,” she stressed.

The homestay was set up by the District Coordination Committee with the joint coordination of local associations.

There are 10 houses at Lalikharka and 20 at Batase under this scheme. The visitors can relish the taste of local foods along with their stay at home, said Tanka Rai, Chairman of the community homestay operation committee.

Even the pilgrims to Pathivara Temple could be managed homestay, he added. District Coordination Committee Chief Bishnu Prasad Sapkota hoped that the homestay would help promote Visit Year 2020.
