
Kathmandu, June 8: The House of Representatives (HoR) meeting scheduled for today was postponed without entering its business citing protests from the opposition parties.
Today’s meeting of the HoR could not convene in time as the opposition parties remained adamant to their demands, resignation of Home Minister on visit visa issue and formation of a high-level probe panel.
Today’s HoR meeting was started at 6:30 pm but the opposition lawmakers staged protests, standing up from their respective seats.
As the opposition lawmakers continued their protests, Speaker Devraj Ghimire postponed the meeting until 2:00 pm tomorrow.
In today’s meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel was expected to table a proposal seeking a beginning for general discussions on the upcoming fiscal year’s annual budget.
Likewise, Chair of State Affairs and Good Governance Committee Ramhari Khatiwada was supposed to table the Committee’s report on Bill on Federal Civil Service, 2082.#nepal #political #rss
