Kathmandu, June 12: The House of Representatives meeting has been postponed to 1:00 pm on Friday.
Today’s meeting of the House of Representatives has been postponed without entering the regular agenda due to obstruction by opposition parties.
The HoR was scheduled to meet at 3:00 pm today but was postponed to 5:30 pm as internal discussions took place between the parties to resolve the deadlock. It was then scheduled for 6:30 pm.
But as soon as the meeting began, the opposition parties MPs stood from their seats in protest. Although Speaker Devraj Ghimire repeatedly urged them to take their seats, the obstruction continued, which led the meeting to be postponed for tomorrow.
Opposition parties, including the CPN (Maoist Center), the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), the CPN (Unified Socialist), and others, have been obstructing the House of Representatives meeting, raising the issue of the visit VISA scam and demanding an investigation committee along with resignation of the Home Minister.
The parliament has not been able to meet for the past two weeks due to obstruction from the opposition parties.#nepal #House of Representatives #rss
