Kathmandu, Aug 14: Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri will arrive in Kathmandu on Sunday to formally invite Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli for his upcoming visit to India.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Misri will meet PM Oli soon after his arrival to extend the official invitation. Discussions will also be held on the agenda for Oli’s visit to India.
The trip, scheduled for Bhadra 31 (September 16) for two days, will be Oli’s first visit to India since assuming office over a year ago. During the visit, Nepal and India are expected to sign agreements on several cooperation projects and other matters. On Sunday itself, Misri will hold necessary consultations with Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana and Foreign Secretary Amrit Rai regarding the visit’s agenda.
Sources said Misri will also meet President Ram Chandra Paudel and hold talks with leaders of major political parties in Nepal during his stay. #nepal #india #oli
