The train departed from Chengdu, pass through Lanzhou, Golmud, Lhasa to Shigatse, exit through the Geelong Port, and thereby transport goods by road container, and finally arrive in Kathmandu, with a total journey of about 2,800 kilometers.

Chengdu Xuanxin Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. is the owner of the goods. The company’s chairman, Tang Fengchao, introduced that the company’s goods exported to South Asian countries were previously transported by truck or sea, but now the international train from Chengdu is used, which is not only safer and more reliable, but also saves 20 days of transportation time.

Wang Weikun, deputy general manager of Chengdu International Railway Express Co., Ltd., said that the train fills the gap in the international freight train from Chengdu to South Asia, and opens up a new route and channel for the trade between Chengdu and South Asian countries.

At present, Chengdu International Railway Port has achieved stable operation and connection of international trains, China-Europe trains, and new western land-sea corridor trains. The next step will be to optimize services, create a good business environment, gather resource elements to the greatest extent, and enhance the international gateway hub.
