Karnali, June 28: The much-anticipated ‘Karnali Cricket Cup 2026’ is set to begin today in the provincial capital, Surkhet Birendranagar.
During a press conference held by the Karnali Province Cricket Association on Saturday in Birendranagar, Association Secretary Shridhar KC shared that the tournament will run from June 28 to July 2.
He mentioned that the matches will take place at the Kalunchok ground in Birendranagar.
The tournament aims to promote cricket across all districts in Karnali province, create opportunities for players, discover new talent, and enhance the overall development of the sport in the region.
According to KC, teams from Mugu, Kalikot, Jumla, Dailekh, Surkhet, Salyan, Jajarkot, and Rukum Pashchim will be competing.
The champions will receive a prize of 101,000 rupees, while the runners-up will get Rs 51 thousand.
The Karnali Province Sports Development Council has supported this event with a contribution of two million rupees. #nepal #rss
