Karnali government transferred Rs 2.45 crore to local bodies



Surkhet, Nov 8: The Karnali Provincial Government has handed over Rs. 2.45 crore to the 16 local bodies of Jajarkot, Rukum Pashchim and Salyan districts.

Spokesperson of Karnali Provincial Government and Minister of Internal Affairs and Law Krishna Bahadur GC informed that the provincial government has transferred Rs 25 lakh each to Bheri, Nalgaad and Barekot municipality of Jajarkot district.

Likewise, Kushema Rural Municipality received Rs. 20 lakh, Chhedagaad and Junichande Rs. 10 lakh each and Shivalaya received Rs. 5 lakh.

Similarly,  Aathbiskot and Sanibheri municipalities in Rukum Pashchim received Rs 25 lakh each,  Chaurjahari Municipality and Triveni Rural Municipality each received Rs. 20 lakh, Musikot municipality Rs 10 lakh and Bafikot received Rs 5 lakh.

According to Minister GC, the provincial government has transferred Rs. 15 lakh to Darma Rural Municipality while Baghchaur and Bangaad Rural Municipality each received Rs. 5 lakh.

Minister GC said that the funds have been provided to the local bodies for the purchase, distribution and rescue of relief materials in Jajarkot, Rukum Pashchim and Salyan districts affected by the recent earthquake.
