Kathmandu, Jan 15: The Kathmandu District Court has ordered the release of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane on bail amounting to Rs 6 million.
The decision was made by the bench of Judge Madhav Prasad Adhikari following a detention hearing regarding the misuse of funds in the Swarna Laxmi Savings and Credit Cooperative case.
Rabi was arrested on Kartik 2 from his party’s central office. Previously, the Kaski District Court had also ordered his release on bail of Rs 6.5 million.
He is also facing similar cases in Chitwan, Parsa and Rupandehi districts.
