Kathmandu, May 30: Nepal is currently experiencing the combined effects of local winds, the Westerly wind, and the partial impact of a low-pressure system centered around Bihar, India.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, at present there is party to generally cloudy in Koshi Province along with the hilly regions of the country and partly cloudy to mainly fair in the rest of the country.
Meteorologist Pratibha Manandhar reported that the maximum temperature in the Kathmandu Valley reached 33 degrees Celsius today, marking a continued increase over the past few days.
The onset of the monsoon season is still expected in Nepal. While it has already reached India today, it is expected to take about a week to arrive During this time, temperatures are likely to soar further.
Similarly, the temperatures reached 36.6 degrees Celsius in Dipayal, 41 degrees Celsius in Dhangadhi, 42.5 degrees Celsius in Sadepani of Kailali, 41.2 degrees Celsius in Nepalgunj, and 38.6 degrees Celsius in Bhairahawa today.
