KATHMANDU: Keshav Sthapit has registered his candidature on behalf of the CPN (UML) for the post of Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City. He was also the former Mayor of Kathmandu.
Similarly, Sunita Dangol also registered her candidature for the post of Deputy Mayor of the metropolis on behalf of CPN UML. Giving a brief response to the media after the registration of candidature, the Sthapit expressed his commitment to bring an integrated concept and bring about educational reform in the metropolis.
Similarly, Dangol said that Kathmandu would be developed as a cultural city.
Kathmandu Metropolis is one of the biggest Metropolis in Nepal, and stayed at the heart of Nepali capital.
Both Sthapit and Dangol have been termed as the prime contender for the polls, however Nepali Congress candidate Sirjana Singh is also believed strong candidate.
