Khajura Conference to chart out prosperity roadmap



Ranjha, Oct 24 : Khajura rural municipality has organized a Grand Khajura Conference to muster support for enhancing wider people’s participation in development.

The conference is expected to chart out Khajura’s policy priorities and planning roadmap.

Kismat Kumar Kakshypati, chairperson of the rural municipality, expressed confidence that the conference would take ahead the process to ensure participation of people from all sections for the development of the area.

“The conference would prove to be a milestone to materialize the dream of prosperous Khajura”, he said, adding the conference is organized to connect the people from Khajura at home and abroad and capitalize their strengths for its development.

As many as 250 people from Khajura who are now at abroad for employment are taking part in the conference, shared Bhakta Bahadur KC, chairperson, conference organizing committee.

He further informed that the experts have presented working papers on economic development, people’s participation in development, planned Khajura city, Khajura on women and gender empowerment, agriculture: base of Khajura prosperity, roadmap of quality and technical education, quality health service and Khajura, inclusive Khajura, sports potential and creative Khajura in the conference.

Chair Kakshyapati further said that the conference was organized to explore the bases, opportunities and potentials of Khajura prosperity, determine policy priorities of the rural municipality and foster inclusive democratic economic development, set roadmap for the plan formulation of Khajura development and exchange learning on sustainable and equitable development and receive feedback from theme experts, intellectual and social sector personalities on Khajura development.

State-5 Chief Minister Shanker Prasad Pokharel had inaugurated the conference amidst a programme on Wednesday. The conference is concluding today.
