KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and NCP Chairman KP Sharma Oli’s group has removed Dev Gurung from the post of Chief Whip of the party’s parliamentary party. Another Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s group leader Gurung has been removed and Bishal Bhattarai of the Oli group has been made the Chief Whip.
According to NCP Deputy Leader Subash Nemwang, Chairman Oli has nominated Bhattarai.
Nemwang said that Prime Minister Oli had removed Gurung from the post of Chief Whip and appointed Bhattarai at a meeting of the MPs of State-1.
Bhattarai, who has been active in the student movement for a long time, was elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Khotang district.
