Kathmandu, April 23: Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security, Sharat Singh Bhandari, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, held a bilateral meeting today.
During the meeting, Minister Bhandari on the behalf of the Ministry raised matters in interest of Nepali workers in the UAE. A pilot project regarding opening demand for Nepali women workers in the UAE as domestic help was also discussed, according to the Minister Bhandari’s private secretariat.
Minister Bhandari requested him to provide scholarship to Nepali students studying in the UAE and to provide necessary training and equipment along with physical infrastructures for the construction of a training centre to produce skilled human resources.
Similarly, he also urged the UAE government to reduce the charge imposed on Nepali workers to send money to Nepal.The Labour Minister also requested companies in the UAE to make arrangement to invest for the development of education and health sector for the Nepali workers under social corporate responsibility.#nepal #political #rss
