Lumbini Cable Car comes up with Morning Offer



Butwan, July 19: Lumbini Cable Car Ltd has brought ‘Morning Offer’ for the months of July and August with half the price of tickets.

It has been decided to give a 50 percent discount on the current regular ticket price for tourists who buy tickets only from 9 am to 12 every Wednesday, effective from the first Wednesday of Srawan, Cable Car Operations Manager Dean Kayasth Saiju informed.

Currently, the normal ticket price of the cable car is Rs. 750. Now, every Wednesday from 9 am to 12 pm, Nepalese citizens will be able to travel by cable car for Rs. 375, while Indian citizens will be able to travel for NRs. 375 and foreign tourists have to pay US$ 11, the company said.

The company said that with this offer, the general public will also get an opportunity to travel by cable car at a very cheap fee.

This cable car, the first of Lumbini province, has been in commercial operation since Jestha 15, 2080 BS. The temple of Kamakhya Devi, built at the top station of the cable car, has become a special attraction for Hindus.

Project head Gokul Saud informed that the number of tourists coming from various cities of Uttar Pradesh, India, to visit the temple is increasing.

At the top station, there are religious structures such as hundred years old Bhagawati Temple, Bahan Nandi, Bar/Peepal Chowpari, Ponds etc. Cable Car has agreed to provide 2% service charge of each ticket to Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City and Tinau Rural Municipality which they will distribute 50% each.
