Lalitpur, Oct 4: The Madan Puraskar Guthi has awarded Madan Puraskar (2080) to writer and journalist Mohan Mainali for his book ‘ Mukam Ranamaidan.’
Similarly, linguist Prof Dr Yogendra Yadav was honoured with the Jagadambashree 2080. Both awards carry a purse of Rs 400,000 each.
The Guthi chair Kunda Dixit awarded the prize to them amid a function organized at Patan Dhoka on Thursday.
On the occasion, Guthi Chair Dixit shared that the awards were presented to them for their notable contributions in the field of protection and promotion of Nepali language and literature.
Writer Mainali said that his book was historical details of Anglo-Nepal war.
Similarly, Yadav said that the prime concern of preserving the endangered languages go to the respective communities and speakers. #madan #purashkar
