KATHMANDU: A delegation of Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP) today called on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to remind latter about the party’s demands. The delegation was led by party Chair Mahantha Thakur.
During the meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s official residence Baluwatar, the delegation drew the Prime Minister’s attention towards a charter of 11-point demand it had put forth before the head of the government on June 7.
According to party leader Laxman Lal Karna, the meeting was a follow-up of the June 7 meeting with the Prime Minister. In today’s meeting, the Prime Minister assured of addressing the demands after the endorsement of Appropriation Bill for the fiscal year 2079/80 BS (2022-23).
The party demands include the citizenship to offspring of people possessing citizenship by birth and the withdrawal of cases against party leaders and cadres among others.
Rajendra Mahato and Sharat Singh Bhandari were among those leaders in the delegation.
