KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader and former minister Mahendra Yadav has requested the President Bidya Devi Bhandari to verify the citizenship bill as it has been passed by both the houses. The Bill is still in the President’s Office for the verification.

He said that the Bill should be verified and implemented as it will solve the citizenship problems of the citizens of Terai and other parts of the country.

Leader Yadav said that the current five-party alliance was formed based on the needs of the Nepali people and clarified that this alliance will continue even after the election.

He claimed that the current government has done what the previous government could not do for three years in a short period of one year.

Likewise, CPN UML leader and former minister Khagraj Adhikari also demanded to reduce the price of petroleum products.

He said, “The price of petroleum products should be adjusted in 15-15 days in a automatic system based on international price.”
