Kathmandu, Aug 4: The fourth plenary meeting of the Central Committee of CPN (Maoist Centre) will continue today. Central members will express their views on the political and organizational proposal titled ‘Current Situation and Major Tasks of the Party’ submitted by the Party Chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ in the ongoing meeting at the Nepal Academy Hall in Kamaladi.
In Thursday’s meeting, senior vice president and Home Affairs Minister Narayankaji Shrestha, vice president Krishna Bahadur Mahara and 56 central members gave their views on the proposal. Five minutes time is provided for each central member to speak in the meeting.
A total of 387 full and 196 alternate central members, 41 members of Discipline, Accounts and Election Commission and 90 officials from seven provinces participated in the meeting. The central member who expressed their opinion in Thursday’s meeting supported the work initiated by the Dahal-led government with the priority of social justice, good governance and prosperity and emphasized on party transformation.
According to party sources, 74 members so far have presented their opinions. The meeting has been scheduled to resume today at 11:00 am.
