Minister Dr Rana meets foreign delegates participating in Sagarmatha Sambaad



Kathmandu, May 16: Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Arzu Rana Deuba received a courtesy call from Baroness Hayman, a representative from the UK’s Department for Parliamentary Affairs on the sidelines of the ongoing Sagarmatha Sambaad in Kathmandu on Friday.

The two leaders discussed various bilateral issues, including the long and historic friendly relations between Nepal and the UK. They also touched on joint efforts and cooperation in addressing the impacts of climate change. Dr Rana expressed her gratitude for UK’s support in Nepal’s economic and social sectors.

She also sought UK’s support for Nepal’s advocacy for climate justice on international forums.

Similarly, Dr Rana met with Abdulla Balalaa, Assistant Minister for Energy and Sustainable Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, and discussed Nepal-UAE relations, mutual interests and the cooperation for climate change mitigation.

Dr Rana also met with Mukhtar Babayev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan and President of COP29. The two leaders discussed the bilateral relations between Nepal and Azerbaijan as well as cooperation between the two countries on climate change, according to Foreign Ministry.#nepal #Sagarmatha Sambaad  #rss
