Biratnagar, June 6: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, has said every state mechanism should be strong.
Minister Gurung said it while inspecting the Koshi Province Office of RSS in Biratnagar on Friday. He expressed happiness over the improvement in physical structure of RSS office.
As RSS is a state-run news agency, it must be efficient and prompt, showing impactful role compared to other media, the Minister reminded, expressing hope that it would enhance its service further. He further said RSS is an inclusive news service.
It would garner further trust among media fraternity and consumers, Minister Gurung believed. On the occasion, RSS General Manager Siddharaj Rai argued if the physical property of RSS were utilized well, it would be financially sufficient, thereby lessening burden to government.
He, however, pointed out the need of additional budget for fully utilizing the physical property of RSS at different cities like Pokhara, Biratnagar and Birgunj.
