Minister Poudel request Home Ministry officials to be more accountable

KATHMANDU: Minister of Home Affairs Bishnu Prasad Poudel has said that the police administration was free to act in accordance with its responsibilities by being accountable to the results.

Taking over the charge of Home Minister on Friday, Minister Poudel has said that he would not interfere in any way with the home administration.

He directed senior staff of the home administration to fulfill their responsibility on the basis of constitutional and other legal provisions. Minister Poudel also said that he was looking for a result-oriented job.

“I don’t believe in interfering with work. I think everyone should be accountable for their work as defined responsibilities. I believe that to be accountable to the work, we have to move forward accordingly. The Minister does not interfere in any way with the head of any police organization or head of the security forces. There is a constitutional system, legal system and established systems, on the basis of which everyone here is free to fulfill their responsibilities,” he said.

Minister Poudel instructed that not a single policeman should come to him for transfer, promotion and promotion.

He also said that the political situation should not affect the Home Ministry. He also directed to do their job without being affected by the court cases and the current political situation.

“The political situation should not affect the home administration,” he said. “The political situation is different. It goes it’s own way. The court case, the home administration and the security forces are not affected by the political situation. Pay serious attention to peace, security and livelihood.”

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Poudel was given charge of the Ministry of Home Affairs as well after the Supreme Court blocked the new cabinet expansion recently.
