Tulasipur, Sept 5: A minor has died of snake bite in Dang on Wednesday. The incident took place at night when seven-year-old Goma Oli, a resident of Simatara in ward no. 1 of Ghorahi municipality, was bitten by a poisonous snake.
She was rushed to the Rapti Institute of Health Sciences hospital in Ghorahi but died in the course of treatment, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Binod Bikram Shahi.
Meanwhile, six passengers were injured in a road accident that took place at Pakhapani in ward no. 1 of Rapti rural municipality last night. The accident took place when a passenger bus (Lu. 1 Kha. 8459) was heading toward Dang from Rupandehi.
Of the injured, the condition of Geeta KC, 19, of Bagchaur municipality-12 and Geeta Kumal,45, of Lamahi municipality-1 is reported to be critical, according to DSP Shahi.
The accident reportedly took place as a result of the potholes in the road.
