Butwal, Feb 17: Rupandehi police have arrested a youth from Bhairahawa on the charge of robbing a mobile phone at Lotse Mall in New Bus Park, Kathmandu. According to Rupandehi Police Spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyamu Aryal, the arrested person is 18-year-old Kamal Karki of Sainamaina Municipality-6 of Rupandehi. Aryal said that three stolen mobile phones were also recovered from Karki.
On February 13, 2023 there was a robbery at Lotse Mall in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26 Gongbu New Bus Park during the demonstration of transport enterpreneurs. In the mall, ACDC Mobile Pvt. Ltd. operated by Arjun Chalise, Diamond Mobile Pvt. Ltd. and Kathmandu Super Market Pvt. Ltd. operated by Gajendra Neupane were vandalized and looted.
Police spokesman Aryal said that the police arrested Karki from Siddharthanagar-3 on Thursday as he was absconding in the same incident. Karki has been sent to Maharajganj Police Circle Kathmandu on Friday for necessary action along with the recovered mobile phone.
