Nawalparasi, June 6: Vehicular movement along the Narayangadh-Butwal road section came to a grinding halt since Friday noon after a flood swept away a diversion at Dumki of Nawalparashi (Bardaghat-Susta Purba) district.
The two-way traffic along the road has been obstructed after the diversion collapsed. The diversion was built over the Dumkibash River at Binayi Tribeni rural municipality-1 in the district, according to the District Police Office.
The diversion had been serving as an alternative way for the vehicles.
After the incident, passenger vehicles and other light vehicles have been directed to other alternative route starting from Hongshi Gate while vehicles transporting goods have been halted, informed SP Yadav Dhakal.
