athmandu, May 14: The meeting of the National Assembly, the upper house of the Federal Parliament, has begun.
The agenda includes discussing the government’s policies and programmes for the fiscal year 2026/2027 presented by the President to the joint sitting of both the houses of Parliament on May 11.
Prime Minister Balendra Shah is scheduled to answer questions raised during the discussions on the government’s policy and programme document in today’s meeting.
The Chairman of the National Assembly, Narayan Prasad Dahal, is scheduled to present for decision the proposed amendments submitted on the policies and programmes of the Government of Nepal for the fiscal year 2026/2027. After that, he is scheduled to put the policies and programmes for a decision.
In the meeting, Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle will be presenting a proposal seeking that the House discuss on the Principles and Priorities of the Appropriation Bill (Except Tax Proposal) for the Fiscal Year 2026/27. #nepal #rss
