Kathmandu, Oct 21: Nepal has cliched a historic T20 cricket series played against the USA.
Visiting team Nepal thrashed USA in their third match by 8 wickets and clinched the series by 3-0. Earlier, Nepal defeated USA by 17 runs in the first match and Super Over in the second.
Nepali team have shown magnificent professionalim in batting, bowling and fielding. Each of the players have contributed their part and without fear or pressure.
In the third match, team Nepal performed even better. After winning the toss, USA decided to bat first but Nepali bowlers restricted them in 156 runs on the board with the loss of six wicket.
S Mukkamall top scored 68 and M Kumar 43 runs for USA.
Nepali bowlers Sompal Kami grabbed three wickets and Lalit Rajbanshi and Rijan Dhakal took one wicket each.
Chasing a modest target of 157 runs, Nepali batsmen pressured hard from the very beginning. Though opening batsman Anil Sah was caught on 13 runs, next opening batsman Aasif Sheikh scored 50 runs.
Likewise, Kushal Bhurtel and Kushal Malla both guided Nepal to victory. Bhurtel scored 40 and Malla scored 44 runs, both of them were not out.
