Nepali Congress announces additional protest programmes

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress has made public further protest programmes. The central working committee of the party held on Tuesday decided to conduct protest programmes in all 77 districts on February 1 and February 6.

The sister organizations of the party will hold protest programmes on February 1 and the well wishers on February 6.

Similarly, the district working committee of the party will hold protest programme focusing district headquarters on February 15, said Krishna Prasad Poudel, chief secretary at NC party office.

Meanwhile, the NC condemned the use of force by the government against the peaceful protests organized by the civil society in the federal capital yesterday. It also wished speedy recovery to the injured ones.

The NC viewed that the recent public expression of the Prime Minister did not suit his position. It also congratulated ten Nepali climbers including Nirmal Purja who scaled Mount K2, the second highest peak in the world.
