
Kathmandu, April 23: President Ram Chandra Paudel, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have each issued separate statements condemning the terrorist attack in Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.
President Paudel expressed his condolences through social media platform X, writing, “My profound grief over loss of innocent lives in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India. Such acts of violence,targeting innocent lives, are utterly reprehensible. My heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their dear ones and my prayers for quick recovery of injured.”
Likewise, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli also tweeted on the incident, saying, “Deepest condolences to the victims of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Nepal stands firmly with India & strongly condemn any & all acts of terrorism.Close coordination is established to verify reports of a Nepali national among the victims & will provide all necessary assistance.”
Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also condemned the acts of terrorism. It said, “Nepal unequivocally condemns the barbaric terrorist attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families and express our sincere wishes for the swift and full recovery of those injured. Nepal stands in steadfast solidarity with the Government and people of India in this time of sorrow. In line with our firm and principled position, Nepal condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and believes that such heinous acts of terrorism cannot and should not be justified on any ground.”
According to Indian media, at least 28 people died with the gruesome acts of terrorism in Pahalgam of Jammu and Kashmir. The victims were mostly of foreign tourists, including a Nepali national. According to reports, many others have been wounded. #jammu #kashmir #pahalgam
