Nepal Oil Corporation reduces diesel, petrol price

Kathmandu, March 15: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced the price of petroleum products. The meeting of the board of directors of the corporation has reduced the price of petrol by Rs.1 per liter and diesel by Rs.2 per liter with effect from midnight today.

The corporation has set the price of petrol at Rs 168.50 per liter for the first category, Rs 170 per liter for the second category and Rs 171 per liter for the third category. Likewise, the price of diesel and kerosene per liter for the first category is Rs 155.50, for the second category Rs 157 and for the third category Rs 158 per liter, said Manoj Thakur, the spokesperson of the Corporation.

Under the first category are Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhganj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Birgunj, under the second category are Surkhet and Dang and under the third category are Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal.

According to the new purchase price received from Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), the IOC has reduced the price of petrol and diesel by Rs 1.22 and Rs 2.06 per liter respectively.
