Nepal Telecom launches robot technology

Kathmandu, Nov 17: Nepal Telecom, largest telecom operator in the country, has launched the use of robot technology with the aim of improving customer service. The AI-powered robot service, named “AI Jack,” was inaugurated today at Nepal Telecom’s office in Sundhara, Dinesh Chandra Panthi said.

According to him, the office serves between 200 to 300 customers daily. Due to insufficient human resources, providing quick service had been challenging. “Now, we expect the robot to ease many tasks,” he said. “The robot can answer up to 600 different questions related to general inquiries as well as NTC services.”

Panthi also mentioned plans to integrate new systems to make the robot even more effective. The robot will not only provide answers to customer queries related to NTC services but will also offer guidance on which branch to visit for specific services, including map directions. Additionally, to serve foreign customers, the robot will be available in both Nepali and English languages.

This initiative marks a significant step in enhancing customer service by leveraging AI technology. #robot #NepalTelecom #nepal
