Kathmandu, Sept 18: Nepal’s cricket team is facing difficulties in their innings against Oman played at King’s City, Canada as part of ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2. After 24 overs, Nepal has scored 60 runs for the loss of 3 wickets, with a current run rate of 2.50.
The top order failed to build substantial partnerships, with Arjun Saud (5), Aasif Sheikh (11), and Bhim Sharki (11) all dismissed. Captain Rohit Paudel (15*) and Aarif Sheikh (15*) are currently at the crease, trying to stabilize the innings.
Oman’s bowling has been effective, with Shakeel Ahmed being the most economical so far, conceding just 12 runs in 5 overs without taking a wicket.
With several batsmen yet to come, including Anil Sah and Gulsan Jha, Nepal will be looking to accelerate their scoring in the remaining overs of their 50-over innings.
Earlier, Nepal lost to host Canada by a huge margin of 103 runs.
