KATHMANDU: The voting process to elect candidates vying for various posts in Nepali Congress (NC) under its ongoing 14th national general convention has been extended till 9.00pm today.
According to the NC election committee’s coordinator Gopal Krishna Ghimire, the voting process had begun today itself.
Due to delay in printing ballot papers, the voting process started around four hours late than the original schedule (8.00am), shared Ghimire.
Considering number of voters and votes cast till now, the voting time was extended, informed Ghimire.
There are a total of 4,743 representatives (voters) in the national convention.
Over 2,900 votes were cast till 6.00 pm today, according to the election committee.
