Nepali Congress waits court decisions on parliament dissolution: President Deuba

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the party does not make any decision over the matters sub judice in the court.

Speaking at a programme organized by the Rupandehi chapter of the NC here today, President Deuba, also former Prime Minister, argued that NC will go ahead as per the Supreme Court decision over the parliament dissolution move.

He argued that disputes within the communist parties have been troubling the NC adding that the protest and objection cannot guide the courts. Deuba also questioned the preparations of Election Commission adding that ongoing preparation was not enough for elections.

Former Minister Bharat Kumar Shah argued that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was preparing people for protests adding the gatherings called by Oli led party in Kings Way in the capital, Butwal and Dhangadhi was the result of it.

Similarly, NC leader Balkrishna Khand said that no one can obstruct democracy through the present Constitution.
