Kathmandu, Sept 22: Nepal’s chance to enter semi-finals is slim as it faced 3-0 defeat against Bhutan in the second match of the ongoing third edition of the SAFF U-18 Championship, 2019 in Kathmandu.
The match was played at the ground of Armed Police Force in Halchowk. Nepal, which has got only one score from its two matches, will eliminate if Bhutan fails to defeat Maldives by a margin of more than four goals in the final match of group phase scheduled for September 24. Earlier, Nepal played a 1-1 draw against Maldives.
Bhutan made it to semi-finals however. Bhutan which played only a game so far has scored three.
Bhutan from the very beginning put Nepal under pressure with a goal from Yasi Dorje in the first half. Later in the second half, Bhutan added two other goals, defeating Nepal. f
