Nepal’s second win in a row, Nepal beats Qatar by 32 runs

Kathmandu, April 13: Nepal won the second match of the ACC Men’s Premier Cup T20 match in Oman. Nepal defeated Qatar by 32 runs. Chasing the target of mammoth 211 runs given by Nepal, Qatar managed to score only 178 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs.

Muhammad Tanveer (c) scored 63 runs off 33 balls for Qatar. Similarly, Kamran Khan scored 18, Mohammad Ahnaff 23, Himanshu Rathod 22 (not out) and Adnan Mirza scored 19 runs.

On the bowling side, Nepal’s Lalit Rajbanshi, Dipendra Singh Airee and Gulshan Jha took 2 wickets each, while Kushal Malla and Abhinash Bohara took one wicket each.

Before that, Nepal, who won the toss and batted first, added 210 runs after losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Dipendra Singh Airee and Aasif Sheikh played half-centuries for Nepal.

Dipendra remained unbeaten with 64 runs in just 21 balls. He hit every ball for a six in the last over. That is, he hit 6 sixes in 6 balls. He hit 7 sixes and 3 fours in his innings.

Aasif contributed 52 runs off 41 balls. He hit 6 fours. Similarly, Kushal Malla contributed 35 runs in 18 balls.

Rohit Paudel added 18 runs and Kushal Bhurtel added 12 runs. For Qatar, Himansu Rathod and Musawar Shah took 3/3 and Amir Farooq took 1 wicket.

Nepal defeated Malaysia by 5 wickets in Friday’s match.
