NEPSE continues to decline, turnover shrinks



Kathmandu, May 3: The stock market, which is on the decline, has continued even today. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index is red for the third day of trading this week. The NEPSE index decreased by 9.18 points today and stood at 1,857.23 points. According to NEPSE, 21 lakh 55 thousand 586 shares of 265 companies were bought and sold.

Production and processing group increased by 0.56 points and mutual fund increased by 0.03 points, while the sub-indices of all other groups decreased. Life insurance group decreased the most by 59.69 points and hotel and tourism group by 52.60 points.

Similarly, banking group decreased by 1.98 points, development bank by 8.01 points, finance by 12.29 points, hydropower by 29.23 points and investment group by 0.09 points. Small finance group decreased by 21.41 points, non-life insurance by 14.59 points, business by 3.66 points and other group by 14.52 points.
