Kathmandu, March 16: On the last day of the week’s trading, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index of the stock market fell by 5.32 points. NEPSE has dropped to 1,933 points.
A total of Rs 1.14 billion was traded throughout the day. While the price of 92 companies increased, 119 decreased while 3 remained unchanged.
According to NEPSE, banking 4.9, development bank 14, finance 5, hotel and tourism 35, life insurance 34, manufacturing 6, microfinance 32, non-life insurance 21 points decreased. Others 1, hydropower 0.25 and business increased by 29 points. The prices of two companies, Unique Nepal Microfinance and Shubham Power, increased by 10 percent.
The prices of Liberty Energy and Kisan Microfinance increased by 4.9 percent. The value of Laxmi Microfinance fell by 5.7%, Naya Sarathi by 4.8% and Prabhu Life by 4.7%. Based on the transaction amount, NIC Asia Bank, NABIL Bank, Himalayan Distillery, Nepal Life Insurance and Siddharth Bank Promoter Share were at the forefront.
