NEPSE drops 16.93 points today



Kathmandu, May 8: A double digit decline was seen in the capital market today. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index decreased by 16.93 points to 1,833.69 points.

According to NEPSE, a total of 28,10,627 shares of 270 companies were bought and sold today. The sub-indicator of all groups was red. Life insurance group has decreased the most by 121.49 points and non-life insurance group by 16.94 points.

Banking group has decreased by 6.50 points, development bank by 13.71 points, finance by 18.41 points, hotel and tourism by 84.56 points and hydropower group by 43.80 points. Similarly, the investment group decreased by 0.13, production and processing by 30.30, microfinance by 26.80, mutual fund by 0.01, business by 12.35 and other groups decreased by 8.77 points.
