Kathmandu, May 9: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said left leader Nirmal Lama was an ideal politician.
PM Dahal said this at a programme organized to mark the 24th Memorial Day of Lama at CPN (Maoist Centre)’s headquarters, Parisdanda, this morning, PM’s personal secretariat said.
Recalling leader Lama, PM Dahal said, “Nirmal Lama was the inspiriting personality of the Nepali communist movement. The thoughts he presented in and around the year 2033-34 BS were important mainly in the debate of people’s revolution in Nepal”.
The Prime Minister said the communist leaders of Nepal had taken inspiration from his life. “As a leader he was transparent, open, firm in his integrity and committed to the working class”, PM reflected.
On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayan Kaji Shrestha and other leaders also highlighted Lama’s contributions.
