KATHMANDU, Dec 02: NMB Bank Limited has been named the ‘Bank of the Year 2020’.
The Financial Times of the United Kingdom has honored NMB Bank with ‘Bank of the Year 2020 Nepal’ for the year 2020. This is the third time in the last four years that the bank has received the title.
The bank has progressed significantly both in terms of it’s total capital and expansion of its network in urban, semi-urban and rural areas of the country. The Bank has also promoted renewable energy, agriculture, small and medium credit expansion and electronic transactions.
“We are delighted to be awarded the title for the third time in four years,” the bank said in a statement on Wednesday. “It is a testament to our hard work and dedication.”
