NOC hikes petroleum prices effective from today mid-night

Kathmandu, Jan 31: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), the government entity, has increased the prices of petrol, diesel, kerosene, and aviation fuel effective from today midnight. A meeting of the NOC board of directors decided to implement the new prices.

– Petrol: increased by Rs 2 per liter

– Diesel & Kerosene: increased by Rs 4 per liter

– Aviation fuel (domestic): increased by Rs 6 per liter

 – Aviation Fuel (International – Kathmandu): increased by USD 43 per kiloliter

With the price adjustment:

Petrol Prices:

First category: Rs. 164.50 per liter (Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, Birgunj)

Second category: Rs. 166 per liter  (Surkhet, Dang)

Third category: Rs. 167 per liter (Kathmandu, Pokhara, Dipayal)

Diesel & Kerosene Prices:

– First category: Rs.  157.50 per liter

– Second category: Rs.  159 per liter

– Third category: Rs.  160 per liter

Meanwhile, the price of LPG (cooking gas) remains unchanged.

NOC cited increased import costs from Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) as the reason for the hike, with petrol rising by Rs. 1.59 per liter, diesel by Rs. 3.57 per liter, and aviation fuel by Rs. 5.70 per liter. Nepal imports petro products from Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). The IOC sends new rate every 15 days.  #noc #nepal #oil #fuel
