NPL 2025 : Biratnagar’s unbeaten track ends, Chitwan Rhinos claims victory



Kathmandu, Nov 26: Chitwan Rhinos have ended Biratnagar Kings’ unbeaten run in the current Nepal Premier League (NPL) Season 2.

Biratnagar, who had won three consecutive matches, suffered a 48-run defeat against Chitwan in their fourth game today.

Chasing a target of mammoth 175 runs, Biratnagar were bowled out for 126 in 16.5 overs. Marchant de Lange top-scored with 39 runs, while Pratish GC added 30, but they could not prevent the loss. Chitwan’s Ranjit Kumar took 5 wickets and Kamal Singh Airee claimed 2.

Earlier, after losing the toss and being sent in to bat, Chitwan posted 174 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. Ravi Bopara struck a half-century, scoring 65 (3 fours and 6 sixes), while Saif Zaib made 32, Dev Khanal added 28, and captain Kushal Malla contributed an unbeaten 20.

For Biratnagar, captain Sandeep Lamichhane and de Lange took 2 wickets each, while Shubham Ranjane picked up 1 wicket. #nepal #cricket #NPL
