Lalitpur, April 30: A person succumbed to the fire burn injuries that he sustained while extinguishing a forest fire in Tapeshwor community forest near Badikhel of Godawari Muncipality-4 in Lalitpur.
Shankar Pahari passed away while receiving treatment at Kritipur Burn Hospital today, Superintendent of Police (SP) and Information Officer of District Police Range Lalitpur Naresh Raj Subedi said.
Another injured one Ramesh Pahari is receiving treatment in the same hospital.
The forest fire in Lele area in Godawari Municipality in Lalitpur is taking place for the past few days and has spread to Anandaban area too.
The fire in the site has also posed a threat to the Leprosy Hospital in Anandaban area. The patients there have been shifted to safe location after the fire near the site. SP Subedi shared that 93 patients from the hospital have been shifted to the safer location.
