Kathmandu, March 27: Outgoing Prime Minister Sushila Karki returned to her private residence based at Dhapasi, Kathmandu from PM’s official residence Baluwatar on Friday.
She moved back to her home after the newly appointed Prime Minister Balendra Shah took an oath of office and secrecy and assumed the office on Friday itself.
Karki shared this information on her social site, “It marks the official ending of a significant chapter of public responsibilities. I had to take the country’s leadership amidst a tough and challenging time.
We succeeded in conducting the elections through our collective efforts, coordination and patience. People’s unwavering trust and participation in democracy has led the nation towards a right direction.”
Stating that she was very pleased and relaxed to hand over the government leadership to a people’s elected new leadership, the outgoing Prime Minister expressed her belief that the energetic leadership of a new generation would take the country towards greater prosperity and a stable future.
Karki expressed her gratitude to all Nepali citizens, colleagues, and the concerned authorities who extended their support, cooperation and trust to her during this journey.
She had assumed the responsibility of holding election in the night of September 12 amidst the developments in the aftermath of September 8-9 Gen Z movement. #nepal #rss
