Over 171,000 people vaccinated against COVID-19

KATHMANDU: A total of 171, 483 individuals from various parts of the country have been administered ‘Covishield’ vaccine so far.

According to Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr Jageshower Gautam, the vaccine was administered from altogether 201 vaccination centre across the country.

The vaccination drive against the COVID-19 started in the country since January 27 this year on a priority basis.

State No 1 has recorded 230,082 vaccinations, 22753 in State No 2 and 59942 in Bagmati State. Likewise, 17,315 individuals received vaccinations in Gandaki State. 26,898 in Lumbini State, 8,648 in Karnali State and 12,809 in Sudurpaschim State.

The second phase of vaccination would begin very soon, according to Spokesperson Dr Gautam.
