Over 6K people benefitted from extensive health camp in Khotang



Khotang, April 6: As many as 6,638 people have benefitted from the free health camps conducted at 11 various places of Khotang district, the Khotang Service Society said. The Society had organized the extensive health camp under the slogan of ‘Respect to Birthplace, Campaign of Volunteering for Health’.

The two-day extensive health camp concluded on Friday. Health teams comprising specialist doctors and health workers provided gynecological, pediatric, general medicine, dental, orthopedic and gastrological services at the health camps. Medicines were also distributed to the patients free of cost.

One hundred and thirty health workers including 45 specialist doctors were mobilized in the extensive health camp, said Society president Dr Pramod Rai. According to him, the health camp cost Rs 31 million.

The extensive health camp was run in all the 10 local levels in the district. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population, Upendra Yadav had inaugurated the health camp. #Nepal
