Dhangadhi, July 14: Around 80 per cent of the paddy has been transplanted in Kanchanpur district as of the second week of July, according to the Agriculture Knowledge Centre, Kanchanpur. Paddy seedling plantation got delayed this year due to lack of timely rain.

“Paddy plantation is expected to complete within some days as monsoon rain is taking place now,” Information Officer of Centre Haridutta Joshi said.

Paddy plantation is done in 48,496 hectares of land in Belauri, Punarbas, Bhimdutta, Bedkot, Krishnapur, Shuklaphanta, Beldandi, Dodharachandani, Laljhani and other areas in the district.
