Kathmandu — The 11th Edition of the Pakistan–Nepal Friendship T20 Cricket Tournament 2026 was officially inaugurated by the Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, H.E. Mr. Abrar H. Hashmi, marking another milestone in people-to-people and sporting ties between the two countries.
The opening ceremony was attended by friends of Pakistan, sports enthusiasts, media representatives, and officials from the Pakistan–Nepal Association of Nepal (PNAN), Global IME Bank, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), and the Youth Council. Distinguished guests praised the Embassy of Pakistan for successfully organizing the tournament every year and emphasized the role of cricket in uniting youth through shared passion and sportsmanship.

This year’s tournament features 12 teams, including 10 club teams along with teams representing the Embassy of Pakistan and Global IME Bank, promising a competitive and vibrant week of T20 cricket.

Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador H.E. Mr. Abrar H. Hashmi said that cricket is not merely a sport but a powerful platform that brings people together and fosters camaraderie, teamwork, and mutual understanding. He wished all participating teams an exciting tournament and thanked the organizers, partners, and guests for their continued support in making the event a success.

The tournament will conclude on 15 February 2026 with the final match, followed by a closing ceremony featuring trophy and cash prize distribution. All matches of the T20 tournament are being streamed live on the sports channel *Action Sports HDI* as well as across various social media platforms. #Nepal
