Kathmandu, July 17: Six highways have been blocked due to floods and landslides caused by incessant rain across the country.
The Nepal Police informed that six highways were blocked due to monsoon-related disasters till Friday evening.
The obstructed highway is Khurkot-Nepalthok-Katunjebensi section of the BP Highway.
The vehicles are restricted for now. In order to minimize the potential risk of flood and landslide caused by the rainfall, the vehicular movement has been restricted on the Kanti Lokpath at Makawanpur section from 5:00 pm to 5:00 am.
Central Police spokesperson Abinarayan Kafle informed that other roadways blocked by the monsoon-caused disasters are Mechi Highway in Ilam district, Saljhandi-Dhorpatan road in Arghakhanchi district, the Araniko Highway in Sindhupalchowk district, and the Baglung-Kaligandaki Corridor. #nepal #rss
